I love this ad for a couple of reasons. For one it's beautiful and features many talented artists doing what they love. But the second reason that I truly appreciate this ad is that it promotes letting go of 1 major fear. The fear of the blank canvas. This is pure inspiration to take some ink to the blank piece of paper! Enjoy

Sitting down at the table with the school's leadership was a wonderful experience for me. In these times of confusion and religious confusion, a catholic school had asked a muslim iranian-american to design their new identity. Actually The Verb as it's referred to, has always been open to all people from any back ground. I loved their open hearts and their approach to leadership and education. 

Some of the notable things that I understood about the school was their Cristo Rey Work Program, where kids go to work for big corporations. The kids get amazing experience, and the corporations sponsor part of their education. The internal operations and logistics of the program were amazing.

Verbum Dei Eagles Emblem by Sabet Brands | Ali SabetI was asked to design their identity, logo, sports identities and a 50th Anniversary logo. I also created some new symbols for the school that were based on the heritage and symbology of what I took away from my visit to the Verb.  I loved this project and I can't wait to work with the folks at Verbum Dei again. What an honor to have my work become part of this wonderful schools future. I can just imagine the thousands of kids that will wear these identities proudly on their school uniforms, on their football helmets and more..It's incredible.

Artis Babyboom is a bus shelter campaign intended to go viral. It's such a wonderful idea. I'm always thinking of how I could spread the word for my clients with out hurting the urban environment. Not one time did I think of vinyl clings. It's such an amazing idea, I think I might have to do a series of cling stickers for me! Maybe the cloud!!

I have always been fascinated with Industrial Designers and their way of sketching. But I've never pushed myself to learn their ways. It's always been a mystery. I just found this video on vimeo, and it's wonderful. But what I'm more excited about is the actual site that created this video, IDsketching! I love any video that has the word Hyper and Moleskine in the headline and this one sure does. I love this video. It's freaking amazing. I love moleskines. they are beautiful objects. Their simplicity inspire me everyday. I can't wait to crack open a fresh one, and I always love reviewing my old ones. They chronicle my life in doodles and words. Ok let me get this straight. You take a picture and it shows up somewhere else. You buy a song and it shows up on all your devices. You change a contact on your iphone and it's automagically updated on your ipad. This is all great, if it works. My problem with mobileme so far has been dealing with multiple versions of something on my servers. It's also annoying to have to constantly fix and get rid of conflicts. I just want something that does what it says it does. And I guess with iCloud, it's supposed to do that and much more! Steve Jobs kept saying "it just works" over and over and over in his keynote presentation. I sure do hope that it just works. Oh, yeah..it's no longer 99 bucks. I think they did that so if it doesn't work, we wouldn't be able to complain.

To behypercreative it also means that you should be able to automate as much of your life as possible. Let the computers and the big servers pay your bills, hire people that are good at their jobs do the stuff you could not possibly do. For example I'm not very handy, so when something needs to get done around the house I pay a handy man that can do it much better. Automation frees us up to be more creative. behypercreative.
